The focus of this year’s TEAM Punta Gorda annual meeting held October 29, 2012, at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association, was on the importance of economic development to our area.  Keynote speakers for the evening included local businessman Bruce Laishley and Tom Patton, Director of the Charlotte County Economic Development Office. They reviewed some of the projects coming to the Punta Gorda area which could impact economic development including Cheny Brothers, Mote museum, creation of business incubator, to name a few.
