Sandy Dressler Reflects on her new role as Board President
I am honored to take on the role of president of the board for TEAM Punta Gorda. I may be new as president but have had leadership roles as a TEAM volunteer for the past 9 years including vice president and COO. Volunteering with TEAM has allowed me to become involved in this beautiful city and at the same time make so many lifelong friends. You really can’t beat it. Filling the shoes of our past president, Eric DeYoung is a daunting task. Eric has been an active TEAM volunteer for 6 years and did an exceptional job serving as our Board President for the past 4 years. I am so happy that Eric has agreed to stay on the board. I will continue to look to him for his expertise. Under the leadership of CEO Nancy Johnson, we have continued to grow as an organization. Without Nancy at the helm, TEAM Punta Gorda would not be what it is today. She has devoted the past 15 years to TEAM, 8 as CEO. We are so appreciative for her leadership, expertise, dedication, and many, many long hours of hard work. With Nancy Johnson and the expertise and dedication of our Board of Directors, I look forward to continuing our mission to make Punta Gorda an even greater place to live, work, and play.
