TEAM Annual Community Meeting

A Celebration of Amazing Partnerships & Compelling Results 

TEAM Punta Gorda’s Annual Community Meeting was held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association, 2001 Shreve Street, Punta Gorda.

The evening began at 6:30 PM with an informal mixer and light refreshments. The formal program began at 7:00 PM with remarks by TEAM CEO Nancy Johnson, who discussed TEAM’s partnerships with City government, community non-profits, conservation organizations, local businesses and individual volunteers.

Keynote speaker for the evening was Punta Gorda Mayor, Rachel Keesling. Mayor Keesling’s interactive discussion which highlighted the City’s partnership with TEAM and reviewed projects of critical importance to Punta Gorda residents. This included an update on plans for the new Punta Gorda library, the renovation and re-development of Fishermen’s Village, Western Michigan University’s expansion into Punta Gorda and long range plans for the enhancement of the waterfront. Members of the audience had a chance to voice their opinions on each topic with individual hand held “clickers” that display immediate onscreen results.
